Summary

The Board of Directors holds key oversight responsibilities regarding sanctions and secondary sanctions compliance to ensure that the organisation operates within applicable and legal frameworks. This course outlines the relevant sanctions regimes that must be adhered to, the requirement to be aware of any changes to the law and how it impacts the organisation. The more common sanctions violations are examined and assessed and a number of real-life case studies evaluated from the perspective of lessons to be learned and how the organisation can strengthen the board’s oversight of sanctions risks.
